AI Use Policy

Rules for responsible use and disclosure of AI-assisted work.

Permitted assistance

AI tools may assist with brainstorming, transcription review, translation, accessibility, research organisation, editing, code, and production workflows when a human remains responsible for the result.

Requirements

  • Verify factual claims, quotations, citations, calculations, names, and media rights against reliable sources.
  • Disclose material AI generation or transformation to editors and label it for audiences where omission could mislead.
  • Do not enter confidential school information, unpublished sensitive reporting, passwords, private personal data, or identifiable information about minors into an unauthorised AI service.
  • Do not fabricate interviews, sources, evidence, experiences, credentials, images presented as documentary fact, or academic work presented as independently completed.
  • A human editor must approve publication and remains accountable for accuracy, fairness, rights, safety, and corrections.
